SENATOR DALE M. VOLKER SECURES $40,000 FOR THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY AL LORENZ COUNTY PARK

State Funds to Assist Rehabilitation efforts at Park Facility

(ALBANY, NY) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-C-I, Depew) today announced that he has secured $40,000 in the adopted New York State Budget for the Al Lorenz County Park located at the County Campus in Mt. Morris. This funding will be used for rehabilitation and replacement of bathroom facilities at the Al Lorenz County Park.

"Families across Livingston County have utilized the Al Lorenz Park with outdoor recreational opportunities for generations," said Senator Dale M. Volker. "Weather conditions in Western New York can be difficult, and this facility is in need of improvements to their bathroom facilities. With new technologies available, these state funds will provide new and more sanitary bathroom facilities for hundreds of families that use the Al Lorenz County Park every year. I am pleased to have secured this $40,000 state grant so that families will continue to enjoy the outstanding county park."

James Merrick, Chairman of the Board of the Livingston County Board of Supervisors said, "Senator Volker has been a big supporter of Livingston County for many years, and today’s announcement is tremendous news for thousands of residents who use the Al Lorenz County Park. Like many other county governments throughout the State of New York, we do all that we can to keep county finances in check while providing services and facilities that we can be proud of. This infusion of state dollars secured by Senator Volker will allow us to invest in the Al Lorenz County Park, upgrade our bathroom facilities with no additional cost to county taxpayers. We continue to appreciate Senator Volker’s commitment to our community."
